The ALTEC Computer Classroom (Hellems 145) is available for use both by classes and by individual students. Faculty can reserve the lab and teach a class here using a whiteboard and an LCD projection panel or one of ALTEC's data projectors. Students can complete their writing assignments using foreign language word processing and dictionary software. Collaborative writing activities and group discussions are facilitated by ALTEC's intranet. Access to e-mail, the Internet and the World Wide Web are also available.

Computers

This lab is equipped with twenty-four Macintosh iMac computers. Each computer contains a variety of foreign language software for word processing and interactive learning; additional software is available via server. A TCP/IP networked HP 4SI Laser Jet provides fast printing.
